Critical 2.0 THCX 40% is the updated version of a classic that never needed marketing to make a name for itself: Big Bud × Skunk #1, reworked to grow harder, smell stronger, and produce resin that doesn’t disappoint. An old-school lemon-skunk profile, with undertones of pine and spice, and buds so dense you can smell them through the bag.

The initial hit is lemony, lively, almost like grated zest, with the signature limonene immediately apparent. The body unfolds with fresh pine and a distinct skunky note, a direct legacy of Skunk #1. The finish glides over a spicy base, black pepper and a hint of wood, which prolongs the flavour without stifling the initial freshness.

Upon opening the bag, there’s no subtlety: a skunky lemon takes over the room, intense and penetrating. Underneath, the pine and herbaceous notes rise as a second layer, with a hint of incense that marks the strain. Rub a bud between your fingers and the depth comes through as truly earthy, slightly spicy, exactly what you’d expect from a serious Critical.

Compact, dense buds, heavy for their size; the Big Bud heritage is evident both to the touch and to the eye. Medium-green in colour, criss-crossed with clearly visible copper-orange pistils, covered in a generous layer of resin that glistens in the light. Trichomes visible everywhere, right down to the sugar leaves. To the touch: firm, slightly sticky, without moisture, the sign of controlled curing on a flower that had plenty to spare.
